THE STRANGLERS Peaches: The Very Best Of...

After an endless parade of rip off compilations comes the official Stanglers Best of... with very few tricks up its sleeve but solid nonetheless. 19 great tracks and the useless cover of 96 tears, including Peaches, Golden Brown, Skin Deep, Get A Grip, La Folie, European Female, Nice and Sleazy, and the recently Tori Amos improved Strange Little Girl. It's always a little disconcerting to mix the mellow middle period hits with the punkier numbers but its heaven at your local bar if it comes on.
