Aside being titled as achieving resounding success by the Straits times, Mosiac is simply the reason to turn you on this March. For ten days the sounds of serene nature takes a bow giving way to the sounds that mosaics brings. It returns with a more eclectic mix of genres and performances then never before.

Kicking off the stellar line-up for the festival this year is the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Under the leadership of Duke Ellington's grandson, Paul Mercer Ellington, the orchestra accompanied by virtuosic trumpeter Byron Stripling and celebrated vocalist Freda Payne, will pay tribute to the legendary music of 'The Duke', Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong's.

Performing music on the own soil will be The Observatory that burst onto Singapore indie music scene and has since blew audiences away with its poignant atmosphere sounds, The Fabulous IQ of David Gunn is a display of a colourful no-joke one joke band that defies conventions and other local artist such as Michaela Therese, duo Jack & Rai, singer songwriter Eunice Sim and Singapore's teenage heartthrob, 15year old Nathan Hartono.

Livening the mood at The Living Room (Esplanade Concourse) is irrepressible entertainer Najip Ali. Wacky, witty and charming, catch Najip at his best as he cajoles audiences and grills artists on intimate topics in a new talk show, Relax One Corner with Najip Ali. It is certainly a crowd Favourite!

To add the a pinch of difference, new festival elements will be added to the line up this year. The more 'nocturnal' crowd will appreciate 11th hour, a new Concert Hall Programme series. Starting at 11pm, it kicks off with soothing, acoustic sounds in the first week and ends with a band when the festival closes.

Be lulled by the smooth and alluring music of Jose Gonzalez and Rickie Lee Jones in the new 11th Hour series at Esplanades Concert Hall and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra closes the 11th Hour series on a high note with their mix of traditional ska, jazz, big-band and rock, promising to have the entire house n their feet!
