Although he is actually from France, you’d think Fabrice Lig was from Detroit judging by the music he produces and the company he keeps (Kevein Saunderson’s label). Releasing a series of quality Detroit influenced techno, electro and house cuts over the past several years, Fabrice continues that fine tradition on his latest album release With it’s playful melodies, deep keys, freaky analogue synths, and moody Detroit chord stabs, the album is as diverse like those of artists in the Laurent Garnier’s stable. Detroit Sound is a brilliant tribute to the scene that inspired Fabrice. It really captures that special Octave One sound perfectly, in fact you would swear that it was an early 90’s classic. There are also some solid straight up Chi-Town jacking cuts as well.
