JOANNA WANG Start From HereBilled as the Taiwanese Norah Jones, 20-year-old Joanna Wang's debut is a double album featuring tracks in English and Mandarin. What sets Start from Here a part from other similar artists is the varied sound - these aren't just slow piano ballads.

Jazz influences can frequently be heard, most notably on the ultra upbeat 'For No Reason', a track that combines a saxophone solo with Wang's soulful delivery (Both the English and Mandarin version stand out as the album's best songs). A respectable cover of Spandau Ballet's 'True' ends the album, Perhaps the next Norah Jones is stretching it, but the first Joanna Wang wouldn't be too shabby.
