The songs are a mixed bag. Although nothing here is as dazzlingly inventive as, say, "Never Stop," or as gloriously sparkling as "Bring on the Dancing Horses," several tracks work very well. "Rust," the first single, is a beautiful, simply defined ballad, while "Get in the Car," the thoughtful "Baby Rain," and the title track also should prove attractive to longtime fans. Unless the peppy, seductive "Lost on You" gets a push from certain key outlets, it's unlikely that the attractive but not really immediate music of the Bunnymen will get enough attention. Which is too bad. This disc may not be groundbreaking, but it does mark a solid return to form from a band that still has something worthwhile to offer.
