Homeslice has drawn on his 11Yrs experience of making dance music to bring us a diverse yet light-hearted classic. He has been remixed by some of the best and I’ve no doubt the same will occur with moments from this album. On virtually every track the melody sits behind the beat, as if it can’t really be bothered to be in time, giving the whole album a very laid-back feel. A number of tracks include very pleasant 50’s guitar loops, which give the album a warm feeling. One track cruises along like a 57 Chevy while another has an eeriness about it which conjures up an image of a mid-American landscape, complete with tumbleweeds and kids in dungarees. The album as a whole is a mixture of uplifting and laid back grooving. Great music for de-fleaing your cat to.
