Like its predecessor the Judgment Night soundtrack this mixing of the biggest names in dance production and top hip-hop MCs looks good on paper but is a decidedly mixed affair on plastic. Given the film theme is in yer face action, the tracks carry an action packed groove for the most part, and fail to let the Oakenfolds and Crystal Methods express the nuance that makes them great and leave them background in the broken beats and spit. Fatboy Slim and Eve magnify each other's weaknesses, but the Massive Attack Mos Def is top notch inspired magic. Roni Size's two tracks work well with Cypress and Volume 10, but nothing C Method can do can mute Bubba Sparks. Mystical Moby? Yes. Groove Armada Rah Digga? No. Generally not bad, too many pros.
