SOUTH PARK Chef Aid

In the great tradition of star-studded charity concerts such as Live Aid and Farm Aid comes Chef Aid, from everyone's favorite little animated berg, South Park. Chef Aid is really a musical masterpiece; a semblance of tracks that are the epitome of artistry and production. Chef works hard for the money on this LP though. Not only does he introduce all of the acts, but he contributes several songs, like his super smooth "Chocolate Salty Balls (P.S. I Love You)" and his freaky funky sex monkey romp, "Simultaneous." Rick James and Ike Turner manage to do justice to Chef's hit "Love Gravy."

Chef is also joined by Meatloaf for a tender duet, "Tonight Is Right for Love." Ozzy Osbourne, DMX, and Ol' Dirty b*stard join forces for "Nowhere To Run," an uplifting, get-the-juices-flowing track that even Stan's Grandpa would consider a toe-tapper. Master P sings the song that's in all of our hearts, but unable to find a voice: "Kenny's Dead." Thank you Master P for articulating "We got to ride tonight/My little homey Kenny died tonight." One of the most touching moments on the record though comes from one of the kids (isn't that always the way?). Eric Cartman, that courageous, portly little guy sings Styx's "Come Sail Away" with real verve and sensitivity.

Now, Maas is the latest in a line of hyped up spinners and remixers to aspire to something more than a mix compilation. The results here are decidedly mixed. The daft, raw genius of Dooms Night remix is barely reflected in Loud's genre-juggling 14...
