I've seen these guys live a few times now on my travels, opening for bands I love. Didn't really pay much attention to them the first time, but the second time they stuck out. There are bands that are great in the studio, but completely suck live and there are bands that are great live but it doesn't come across in their recordings. In my opinion, The Bronx perform both live and in the studio. This album, their second self-titled album, goes from a hardcore record to a full on rock, and back again. The track "Dirty Leaves" stands out a bit cause it's pretty mellow but it's also one of my favorites. Other stand-out tracks are "Shitty Future" and "Safe Passage". Make sure you check out the video for "History's Stranglers". (www.thebronxxx.com)
