The Australian atmospherists are back with what should easily stand as their strongest effort since their strong run in the mid/late-'80s. This is a true band effort - the songs are credited to all four members, and, in the sprit of rock'n'roll, the sum is greater than the parts. Steve Kilbey's voice carries the songs with more personality than in recent discs, even when his vocals are heavily treated and Piper adds a wider variety of guitar textures But it's Invisible, a hypnotic piece that meanders for nearly eight gorgeous minutes, that will really grab you. Nice return.
