KARL COX Back to Mine

Pioneering techno deejay and producer Carl Cox needs little introduction; the man has been at the forefront of the global dance scene for over twenty years. He has released Back to Mine right after the new year session he played here in Singapore, and the 42-year-old beat master is showing no signs of slowing down. Back to Mine features a recent live set recorded at Cafe Mambo in the dance mecca known as Ibiza, plus the new single "Mission (Give Me Your Love)," which serves a sampling of what's to come from his forthcoming collection of original recordings, The Second Sign. Carl Cox's selection includes some gorgeous tracks by Diana Ross, Leftfield, Groove Armada, 808 State, Style Council & the man himself!

Listening to Blue Lights on the Runway As a tribute band Bell Xl would have it all; David Byrne's voice down to a tee, the big, breezy choruses and the musicianship. But as a standalone band, they have some good songs but are standing too for...

LISTEN-I have been a fan of DJ Krush ever since I heard his remix of the ninja Tunes front & back catalog in '94. His new album Kakusei really moved me. A pure Japanese minimalist approach. Here, Krush strips down the music to...
