Local favorites do good on presumably their fourth record WooT. Adding electronic elements in a way that enhances the organic elements of the guitars and vocals creates a unique sound, and shows a great understanding of the vibe they want to create. The restraint used in the electronic percussion in particular show that the tools are just that, and provide the warmth necessary for singer Burama to drop some wisdom through the swaying pulse.

Long emotive buildups and blasts of reverb give the album a tropical and dubby feel (8 songs in 70 minutes) Highlighting the precarious balance of life and death, politics and roots in his melodic speak singing, a style that at first sounds like a jumble of sounds, clouds pass over you and the words slip into clarity. From then on your focus has shifted from a soft one to a hard one, and you're hooked. The spell the Hypnotics cast makes them arguably the most articulate and innovative artists in the scene. It's great to go their shows because they wake the sleepy heads up. The groups' Bob Marley tribute on the anniversary of the legend's passing took place at the Akropolis nightclub in Prague and it was awesome!
