DAFT PUNK Alive 1997

The Daft boys were 22 when they took to the road for the first and only time to promote Homework around Europe on their Daftendirektour. Their youthful aggression, basic equipment and desire to mess with people's minds on a pretty fundamental level are what made those live shows so spectacular. Alive 1997 is a recording of their show at Birmingham's Que Club on November 8 that year; five songs, three hits dissolved into a non-stop 46 minute mix of elasticated acid, titanium-tough beats and the irresistible thud of da French fried funk. An awesome display of noise and bravado, the disc will be pulled from the Catalogue on New Year's Day, pick it up!

The re-release of last years' stoner trip hop drop from the master of marketing and would be soft porn peddler, Kid Loco. I wonder if the photos he uses are originals, and on KYD you might ask yourself the same thing about the tunes. A minimal 10...
