INNAWAY Innaway

Wow, this is a change of pace. I feel like I'm back in the 70's rocking out at a show. Described as "a new reading of Pink Floyd's psychedelia, Tortoise's spatiality and Led Zeppelin's hippie boogie". I think the nail was hit on the head. If you have no idea who those bands are or what they sound like, imagine watching the Virgin Suicides. For some reason, I feel the music would fit perfectly with that movie. Especially "The Strings of North Egg". Listening to this has kind of left me speechless. Usually, I get an album to review, don't like it and find myself sitting there for 20 minutes trying to think of something to say. And usually, I get a CD, like it and fear my reviews don't capture what I'm really trying to says. This album, I love, and I do not know really what to say.

Filter's 1995 hit "Hey Man, Nice Shot" was a timely combination of grunge heat and industrial ice, raw emotion riding a steel pulse of digital rhythm. The breakout moment on Filter's otherwise unremarkable debut album, Short Bus, "Shot" raised a...
