You already know they'll sound good on your iPod. Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" is being given maximum mileage on Apple's iPod advertisements but that's only partly why these Aussie rockers are one of the best-selling new rock groups this year. Listing the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Faces and AC/DC as their influences, Jet's sound is at once edgy, raw, exuberantly energetic and reminiscent of the rock greats of old. With tracks like "Get Me Outta Here" and "Cold Hard b*tch", Jet's got a madcap lifestyle (excessive drinking is part of the group's high life) to match their unreserved lyrics. Like its creators, Get Born is in-your-face and loving every minute of it.
