DJ KRUSH Jaku

Japan and hip-hop have never been standard bedmates. But there's been one exception to that norm for the past 20 years and that omission goes by the name of DJ Krush. The 41-year-old Krush (born Hideaki Ishii) has release Jaku, his 13th album, this September 7th 2004. Jaku is a brilliant cross-pollination of modern hip-hop variations and traditional Japanese instrumentation. The result is music that's perfect for breakdancing samurai, and a reason to pray to your ancestors that Krush will come to town.
