Reviews - Sounds like

PRESENCE All Systems GonePresence are (Deep House dude) Charles Webster, (Massive Attack singers) Shara Nelson & Sara Jay and (angel voiced) Steve Edwards. Their debut album features smooth soulful grooves, mellow electronic melancholic melodies and, it would seem, proper songs. All Systems Gone is full to the bumper with shiny countermelodies and a deep, abiding love for soul, which make the its sturdy elegance more interesting than your average Sade, and spacier than all that jungle-soul that's all the rage. Presence have been called 'this year's Air' and 'House music's Massive Attack', but it doesn't exagerate it's melodies like the former, or pack the sonic punch of the latter. On the other hand the vocalists are solid and their is a lightness here that bear repeated listenings. You've heard it all before, but in itself it is a unique and lovely stew.
