Often trying the tongue and cheek route to connect his rich collection of influences into something his own, Slater is boldly moving forward out of the shadows of his older brothers-in-minimalism Weatherall and Hawtin in to lusher landscapes. AOT is an inspired blend of elements and textures that make you say uh-oh when they burst into the mix, and have you suckered and begging them not to stop 5 minutes later. You can make a lot of interesting dishes like New Wave a la Trance by using the cheese as a compliment rather than the main ingredient. Quattro Formaggi.
