I was staring into space 'flying on the beats' as Parba of The Heartway Syndicate likes to describe it, when he really gets lost in his mixing, and I thought I saw a comet in the north western sky. And then I was in a field and it wasn't me at all whose ass I felt parked on this yellow lawn chair. I stepped out on the dance floor and... ![]()
F irst let's meet the DJ's, a good place to do that would be at Clu UJezd where they met two and a half years ago. Honza, also laid back, but with a slightly different style, at least when I saw them, towards the acid jazz side (sure, I'll take a hit), but neither would claim to be from any specific musical school. "We are just at the beginning, I mean, the people who come and do vocals or whatever (Mikail from United Heads or a xylophonist for example), with us add an emotional and psychedelic aspect, making your fantasies positive You feel satisfied. The dubbish quality of the heavily effected vocals the night I was there combined with Parba's very dense break beat style made me say Hale-Bopp, but I get the impression that they, even as they are mastering their art while experimenting at the same time, want a low profile. They don't like huge crowds, but as (don't mind if I do, puffffff) Parba says about his grandma "She doesn't understand me, there is a long time between us. She says that I don't know what is good. Things that seem bad to me could be good, and things that seem to be bad may be good. " Adding the human element, the heartway, as they say, "We all have the same records, but people are not mixing up the styles. It's just the beginning. ""I think it's like the states, there producing so much sh*t culturally, it will also happen here. To me it seems like nightmare, like movie, but if you are yourself, and you want to stay yourself, you don't sell out. Normal people are crazy, I hope they know what they are. " (uh, why don't you skin up, I'm outta practice, how bout some kava?) We'll see how long the boys can keep it underground, now would be a good time to check them out before whatever happens.
